Hi everyone,

I've seen a lot of people on the forum talking about different spells they've done, and each one fits into a category more or less.  My question is:  Can you be adept in the different shall we say "classes?" of magic.  For instance, scrying would be a form of divination, then of course I've heard people talking about enchanting, and I've heard of people that can affect weather, and I'm sure there are many other types that draw upon the different energies of this world and beyond.  Also just out of curiosity, I was wondering what else there is out there besides what I noted, that any of you are knowledgeable in.  Thanks for everyone's patience and help so far with my learning experience here.

Good ideas! I like that! haha

Anyways, there could be Druidism, Brewery, Spell Creation, Weather Magic, Love Magic, Spiritual Magic, Elemental Magic, etc. There are major classifications and minor groups too!

There are many groups......I believe the terms your looking for is Natural Alchemy and herbalism. Tongue

But yes, people can be adept to certain abilities as every-day skills. Smiley

So can does anyone have a comprehensive list of different schools of magic, or maybe there's a link or a book that could better illuminate the topic for me?

This is a great place to learn from. I also know of some books, but they're geared more towards Wicca. Smiley

If you're interested you could try all the Wicca books by Scott Cunningham. Smiley

With magick, thier is an infinete amount of catagories only limmeted by your imagination. You can do anything with magick.

You don't have to be a certain religion to use magick. There are a few belifs in magick, yes, but not tied to any one religion.
