I did know the answer.............Google told me..............I'll go google it, hang on....Okay, back and I have your answer...
The answer is that as embryos men and women have similar tissues and body parts. If anything the embryo follows a 'female template'. That is why nipples are present in both sexes. It is the effect of the genes, the Y chromosome and the hormone testosterone that brings about the changes and masculinises the embryo. Testosterone promotes the growth of the penis and testicles. Because nipples are there before this process begins the nipples stay!

Lol that was complicated, but I have tried to search for the answer way before too. If not totally scientifically, males have nipples to show that they are mammals. Mammals have mammary glands that's why they are called mammals, but of course, the male mammary glands don't produce milk.

bacterial growth. often due to staphylocous aureus (not sure of spelling on that one) and nipples mentiond above. some males can produce milk from there nipples so its thought that the male can also provide milk for the offspring (ageeeees ago ) |

A person Or a platypus...or a duck...tho having a Canadian for a pet would be awesome. People would be like "Hey, do you have a pet?" And I'd be like "Yeah!" and then they'd be like "What is it?" And I could be all "A Canadian" and then they'd look at me funny and back away. Heh |
